Sacrament of Reconciliation Enrolment Prayer

On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June, children and parents are invited to come to one of the parish’s Sunday Masses.  At the end of Mass they will be invited forward to say the Enrolment Prayer (PDF below) as a spiritual beginning to the child’s formation in the sacrament.  We look forward to seeing all the children that have enrolled in the program there.

Updates to Mass Times and Attendance

From Monday the 1st of June 50 people will be able to attend Mass, in response to which we have decided to do the following.

We will no longer be asking people to ring the parish office to register for Mass as that is now impractical.

There will be two extra weekend Masses starting on the weekend of the 6th-7th of June. One at 7pm on Saturday and the other at 12 noon on Sunday. Which will make the weekend Mass schedule the following:

  • Saturday Vigil: 6 pm and 7pm
  • Sunday: 7:30 am, 9 am, 10:30 am, 12 noon and 6 pm

Each Mass will be limited to 50 people. This will not cover everyone that may want to attend Mass, so we ask people to continue to be patient and understanding during this time.

We are still required to keep records of who attends in case anyone is infected. We will ask people register their attendance as they arrive.

For weekday Masses, we would encourage people to attend the evening Mass if possible as this is the one that is less attended and has more places free.

The last live streamed Mass will be 6pm on Sunday the 1st of June.

Please help us spread the word of these changes.

Mass Attendance Numbers

With great joy I can now say that we have just received a new direction from the Diocese of Parramatta, the relevant part of which says the following:

As a result of the easing of restrictions announced yesterday by the NSW Government, from 1 June 2020 places of worship will be able to accommodate 50 worshippers.

The current protocols around physical distancing and personal hygiene, and the maintenance of a register of attendance will still apply.

As a result of which you will no longer need to call the parish office to attend a Weekday Mass.  More details to follow in due course.

Mass and how to get to one now

The new situation is that we can have Mass where up to 10 people are present.  So we are bring back all our normal Mass Times. To be able to be among those 10 people that are attending Mass you will need to call the parish office (open Tuesday – Friday 9am – 3:30pm) and ask to be put on the roster.

Live streamed Masses will continue according to the established scheduled.

The church will remain open during the normal parish office hours.

Confession will be available again at the normal times, though by appointment is always possible as well.
